Finally got to the book shop for my copy of The Proxy Bride. I have read and enjoyed Zoë Boccabella’s first two books so I truly look forward to getting lost in this new story.

Yesterday was the Festa della Republica, commemorating the referendum after WWII at which Italians decided to become a republic (previously a fascist regime supported by the monarchy). In Osimo, the local band entertained in the courtyard of the palazzo comunale, town hall. Then there was gelato, for me at least… #visitlemarche #gelato #mlt_italy2022

It’s my last day in Abruzzo for a while. This morning after breakfast, I visited a local organic garden where there are fruit trees, bees, and a variety of vegetables. My host bought cherries for the BnB. The farmer in the next field called me over to take his photo. So you’ll see Guerino and his sweet goat named Garibalda. He uses her milk to make cheese. #mlt_italy2022 @luciammareroseto

Great day yesterday with @frentanabike and @cantina_frentana cycling through the vines and visiting the atmospheric village of Rocca San Giovanni, before a degustation of wines and typical cheeses, meats and olive oil from the region. Thanks to friends Pia and Sammy (Life in Abruzzo) for organising an excursion at the last minute.

A great day in Italy should end with a gelato 🍧. And if you are in Roseto degli Abruzzi, you can’t go past Mario Magrini. #gelato #mlt_italy2022
